Out of blue, I had a serious and painful cervical spine injury. I was given Dr. Eby’s name, thank goodness! My husband and I were able to meet with Dr. Eby before surgery. Despite the fact that he is very busy, he took the time to prepare us for what this procedure looked like before and after. We appreciated this, it certainly helped us get organized. Post op, he has been available to answer questions and offer support for any concerns. I will recommend Dr.Eby to anyone with spine issues. For me, he is the best!!

My appointment with Dr. Baran was a five-star experience. I found Dr. Baran to be affable, informative, and professional. I was in and out in 45 minutes which included x-rays. I strongly recommend Western Orthopedics for orthopedic care.

I had a distal bicep tendon rupture that needed surgical repair. The E.R. staff recommended Western Ortho and they were able to see me on short notice. I couldn't be more grateful that I lucked into Dr. Sears and his team. Dr. Sears has been incredible through my surgery and recovery. His knowledge, skill, and experience gave me peace of mind throughout the process. He's taken the time to get to know me and has been very attentive to my progress in healing. I highly recommend him and Western Orthopaedics to anyone in need. Thanks Dr. Sears!

I am an 83 year-old woman who recently had a hip replacement performed by Dr. Baran. It was a procedure I put off for years from fear; I could not have been more wrong. I think now of the years I walked in pain that could have been corrected. Dr. Baran's personal style is warm, friendly, personable, and professional. He and his staff accommodated events that were unfolding in my personal life and provided comfort and assurance through the whole process. The pain that I feared only lasted about ten days as the incision healed and was minor compared to what I had been living with for years. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Baran and his total team for giving me a pain-free later life. The nurses in the recovery ward were also sweet and caring - above and beyond what was necessary for my care. They were genuinely interested in and seemed to enjoy hearing of my unusual life.

I was in extreme shoulder pain. My rotator cuff was completely torn. I had several injections that provided relief over the past year. Dr. Hatzidakis told me I would know when I was ready for a replacement. He was never pushing. I opted for surgery on February 28, 2023 and I am so pleased with the outcome. Wearing the sling for six weeks was certainly a "pain", but I have been pain free for weeks and gaining range of motion each day. Dr. Hatzidakis always took time to explain everything and answer questions. His bedside manner is great and I have every confidence in his as a surgeon!

My Primary Care Physician recommended that I see Dr. Hatzidakis for a possible rotator cuff tear in August of 2022. I am very glad that I took his recommendation. I recommend Dr. Hatzidakis and his team (Rose Christensen, Tyler Holmes, and Cherilyn Jacobsen) very highly. They are all terrific. From my first evaluation by Rose, through my follow-up meetings with Dr. Hatizdakis, the surgery in November, 2022, and my follow-up appointments during recovery everyone has been warm, engaging, informative and above all helpful. Everyone I have ever communicated with at this practice is very patient-centered and helpful. I was told by many friends who have had rotator cuff repair surgery to expect a painful recovery for the first week or more. Since I had multiple tears to be repaired I was concerned. However, I did NOT have the bad experience that others warned me about. Quite to the contrary I found my pain well-controlled at all times and I was off the opioids within a few days after surgery. In addition, the Physical Therapy performed by Melissa in the office across the hall from Dr. Hatzidakis' suite has been superb. My strength, range of motion and use of the shoulder are fabulous given that I'm only about 4 months out from my surgery date. I am delighted with my progress! In summary, if you are considering having rotator cuff surgery, I would wholeheartedly recommend that you see Dr. Hatzidakis and his team.

I was fortunate to link up with Dr Parks at the beginning of my cycle of four leg joint replacements over the last year. He has a very efficient system that nevertheless feels personal and relaxed, thanks to his confident manner and friendly staff. His affirming “We’ll take good care of you” style is immediately assuring. Quality control is primary; he insists on pre- and post-op procedures that maximize successful results. No infections or call-backs for me. He’s obviously brilliant and his reputation among PT provides I’ve used is the highest.

I have had the opportunity of having two rotator cuff surgeries (right and left shoulders) done by Dr. Hatzidakis. One was done in 2007 and the other in 2014. He had stressed pre-surgery that if I followed my physical therapy post-op, I would have the best range of motion the joint would allow. He was absolutely right! I appreciate his bedside manner, as he does a phenomenal job of taking an extremely complicated procedure/process and puts it into terms anyone can understand. Follow-up care is simply outstanding and second to none. What most recently impressed me is that 9 years after my latest surgery, he still remembered me and asked about my condition! That truly is 5-star care!!! Quite simply, as long as Dr. Hatzidakis is practicing and doing shoulder surgeries, no one but him and the staff at Western Orthopedics will touch my shoulders when repair/replacement is needed. Period.

Dr. White is an amazing surgeon! He genuinely cares, he is open, and honest, spends time with you explaining things and answering your questions. I am a repeat patient! He has done labral reconstructions on both of my hips, walking me through each step of the process. His whole team is great from scheduling with Teresa to the whole team behind surgery and recovery. They work with some great physical therapists that really know their stuff and make you feel like you will get better. AND you do! Hard work and dedication to your healing process with people supporting and encouraging you along the way. Dr. White was willing to work on my hip after it had already been operated on and for that I am so grateful. 8 years later, we did my other hip because I knew the results would be worth it! I was able to get in touch with my donor's mom to thank her for the gift of her son's life and I got to tell her all that I am now able to do because of his gift! That was super special! I trust Dr. White and recommend him to anyone that has any sort of hip pain as your number one choice! Thank you Dr. White, your family, and your team! I am GRATEFUL!

Dr Hatzidakis was great. Performed a right shoulder replacement in August. His staff and himself are very professional and caring . Surgery went great and follow up care was excellent. If you do all your pt and follow up care you will have a good experience. At 6 months I have 95 % movement and good strength in my shoulder AND NO PAIN

Dr. Hatzidakis gave me life back when he repaired my shoulder 15 months ago on my dominant arm. I was told Dr. Hatzidakis was the BEST shoulder surgeon by another doctor who sent her son to him. I had already been turned down by a half dozen doctors from Boulder to the big names in the ski towns. He and his dream team which includes Tyler Holm and Rose Christensen were a night and day difference for me just as I was losing hope. I do not lose hope easily but could not miss much more work searching for the right surgeon as the repair must be timely. The first 6 other surgeons’ reaction to the MRI ranged from flat refusal to offer a repair, to talks of drilling holes in the tendons to stretch them back to the bone and the use of 'patches' and reverse total replacement, or can I just "live with it'. I wanted my own natural shoulder but already had labrum tears and single tendon repairs done on both left and right shoulder in 2000 & 2001. 15 months ago at age 58 I was a 're-tread' with a multitude of chronic severe health issues already. I was told these tendons were 'old' chronic injuries which made no sense to me as I could state the date/time it happened. The MRI also said these were acute not chronic tears to 3 tendons. There was no fatty infiltration nor atrophy per MRI despite what others told me. Tyler Holm is the gatekeeper to this busy surgeon and he is amazing and read the MRI the way it was written and brushed off these other notions stating there seemed to be a lot of tendon there on the MRI coiled up. Tyler was correct they came off ballistically under pressure and the post-surgical report written by Dr. Hatzidakis stated the tendons came back over with "no undue tension". Tyler is amazing, creative and compassionate and sent me back to the friendly x-ray guy to take more images while holding a weight that day. Wow! I am so glad I pressed on that day after 2 awful appointments in Vail. Arriving late on a Friday Tyler was still there to see me. Dr. Hatzidakis was booked out further than anyone I had seen and yet Tyler found room for me to quickly get the surgery before fatty infiltration and atrophy actually set in. Treated like a human being, I was suddenly overcome emotionally and quickly departed as I am not used to handling that level of emotional reaction. To me it was like a miracle had happened. They knew that I am a complicated patient with some major health issues. Tyler had scanned me for my level of commitment to my recovery. Dr. Hatzidakis saw the arthritis but he was not afraid. Meeting him I knew I found my guy, steely-eyed and rock solid confidence. My daughter also found him to be wonderful in personal interaction and let me know this was going to end well. MRCT repairs have a bad 90% failure rate. I became quite ill for many months but put this priceless repair at the top of my priorities. It paid off and in the spring I was better and had to be careful about the rehabilitation due to my other issues. I found a 2nd therapist who understood my complexities and the need for a slow but steady recovery. Having been told by my former surgeon I would never mountain bike nor weightlift again I instead bought a new mountain bike and complied with Dr. Hatzidakis's advice to not push the weights like I did at 25, I am 59 now. I am now facing new serious health challenges but I go forward with my dominant arm fully usable and have Dr. Hatzidakis, Tyler and Rose to thank as it would be immensely harder had our lives not interested in late 2021.

Dr. Basaz was able to repair a shoulder that had been seriously in 2013 by and impact that gore and detached the three rotator cuff tendons. He advised me to take care to not injure the shoulder again because there was not much tendon left to work with. I re-injured it skiing in spring 2022 and tried letting it rest getting back on a PT plan. An MRI showed that I had torn and detached two of the previously repaired major tendons. Initially it did not like it could be repaired and might requires reverse shoulder replacement at some future date. He decided try a second repair and was able to recover enough viable retracted tendon to do so. The repair has a good chance of healing to the bone and preclude or delay replacement. I’ve had four rotator cuff repairs with Hinson e 2010 as a result of vigor thrill seeking. At 70 yers old I’m convinced he master of his craft, genius in fact! He is great man, fine athlete in his own right and maintains awesome enthusiasm for repairing shoulders as well as other joints.

The entire office staff was very efficient and courteous. I got in without having to wait a long time. Dr Baran was very knowledgeable and spoke to me, not down to me.
