Thomas G. Mordick II, M.D. was born and raised in North Tonawanda, New York.  He graduated with a B.A. degree in biology from The University of Rochester and his medical degree from The University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry.  After completing a residency in surgery at The University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, he completed an additional residency in plastic surgery at the University of Pennsylvania.  He then pursued a fellowship in hand and microsurgery at The University of Utah.  Dr. Mordick joined Western Orthopaedics, P.C. in April of 2010.  He is a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Surgeons, American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, Rocky Mountain hand Society, Denver Medical Society, Colorado State Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, Colorado Medical Society, Southwestern Surgical Congress, American Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery, American Association for Surgery of the Hand, and American Society for Surgery of the Hand.  He is Board Certified with The American Board of Plastic Surgery and has received a Certificate of Added Qualification in Hand Surgery from The American Board of Surgery.  Dr. Mordick also provides his services to patients in an outreach clinic in Granby, Colorado once a month.

My approach to treating patients

My approach to treating patients has been described as “customer friendly”.  I believe that being a healthcare provider is a privilege based upon providing friendly, courteous, and timely patient care that reflects the best of my abilities.

I personally assess my patients obtaining a complete history and physical supplemented by appropriate x-ray and laboratory testing.  Once a diagnosis is established, the acceptable treatment options are discussed.  I believe it is the patient’s decision as to which option best meets his/her unique personal situation.
