Dr. Raj Bazaz grew up in Detroit, Michigan. He received his Bachelors degree from Wayne State University and his medical degree from the University of Michigan. He trained at Case Western Reserve University where he combined his orthopedic training with a research fellowship in stem cell repair of cartilage injuries. Believing in the exciting future of minimally invasive surgery, he did an arthroscopic surgery fellowship at the Southern California Orthopedic Institute. He is board certified and a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Bazaz joined Western Orthopaedics, P.C. in 2004 and specializes in the arthroscopic treatment of shoulder/knee disorders, sports medicine, and joint replacement. He is assistant team orthopedic surgeon for The Denver Nuggets and Broncos' Allumni.
